🎃Halloween is nearly upon us! It's actually a great opportunity to try some of the common approaches to linking generations such as storytelling, crafting, having a party, going to an event together. Why not try something in your local community this season?
Here's a wee spooky tale from our neck of the woods in Ards- Happy Halloween everybody - ooooohhh! 👻
'In the 1800's a local smuggler called Rabbie Bradshaw brought his contraband rum up Strangford Lough to Ards. He built a pier and didn't want this to become a local hangout, so he had an idea. He had a coffin made with ropes attached to each end and balanced it hanging over the bushes. It did the trick and scared all the passers by away and all the locals stayed indoors at night, too frightened to come out!'
🤔Remember that it's Mental Health Awareness Month.
