LGNI needs your vote! As a supporter and friend of LGNI, you will be happy to know that our initiative has been recognised and approved by the Aviva Community Fund. We are now in the voting stage to become a grant recipient that will allow us to continue our work. Please click on the link below for more information and to vote for us in a show of support for our programme which promotes bringing generations together in meaningful ways:
Should we be successful, this intergenerational programme would address the social isolation of older people by creating connections with children and young people through two schools in their two relevant communities during the school year. The two schools would be either primary or secondary and one would link with older people based in the community e.g. a local older people’s group and the second with an older peoples care setting e.g. a care home or day centre.
Please note: voting closes 30 May!!! Many thanks for your support!
